1. Purpose
This Notice explains the limited device storage and optional third-party preview content used on https://coficompliance.com/.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a person visits a website. They may help a website work, remember preferences, understand usage, or display embedded third-party content.
3. Current storage and content inventory
3.1 Cofi cookie preferences
- Name: cofiCookiePreferences.
- Provider: Cofi Compliance.
- Storage: Browser local storage, with a first-party cookie fallback if local storage is unavailable.
- Purpose: Records whether the visitor permits optional YouTube preview images.
- Duration: Up to 12 months, after which the site asks again.
- Category: Necessary preference storage.
3.2 YouTube preview images
YouTube preview images are optional third-party resources supplied from Google's YouTube image domain. They do not load until the visitor allows them. If allowed, the provider may receive technical information such as the visitor's IP address, browser details, referring page, and request time.
Video links remain available when previews are refused. Opening a YouTube link takes the visitor to YouTube, where Google's terms and privacy practices apply.
3.3 Analytics and advertising
The website does not currently deploy advertising pixels or website-analytics tags. This Notice and the preference control must be updated before any such technology is introduced.
4. Managing and withdrawing choices
Visitors may choose “Allow previews” or “Necessary only” when first visiting. The “Cookie settings” control remains available on every page so a visitor can change or withdraw the choice. Rejecting previews does not prevent access to core content.
Browser settings may also be used to delete the cofiCookiePreferences record at any time.
5. External website links
The website links to regulators, YouTube and other external sources. A link does not load that external website until it is followed. The destination provider's privacy and cookie terms then apply.
6. Updates
This Notice may be updated when our website functionality, analytics, embedded content, or legal requirements change.
